The Department of Bio-medical Engineering is a fledgling department started in the institution during the year 2007. This department was started with an objective to impart high quality education in bio-medical engineering. This highly interdisciplinary subject bridges various fields including medicine, electronics, electrical, material science, bio-mechanics, applied mathematics etc. The need for bio-medical instruments for diagnostics and therapeutics will persist as long as humans exist and the need to discover bio-compatible biomaterials for medical application is an ever present challenge. In India this field is steadily blooming and has enchanting possibilities. This department aims to produce bio-medical engineers with excellent skills to meet the need of our nation. The department has state-of-art labs and qualified faculty with passion for both teaching and research.
