The Departmaent of Biomedical Engineering is a fledling department started in the institution during the year 2007. This department was started with an abjective to impart high quality education in biomedical engineering. This highly interdisciplinary subject bridges various fields including medicine, electronics, electrical, material science, biomechanics, applied mathematics etc. The need for biomedical instrument for diagnostics and therapeutics will persist long as humans exist and the need to discover biocompatible biomaterials for medical application is an ever present challenge. In india this field is steadily blooming and has enchanting possibilities. This department aims to produce biomedical engineers with excellent skills to meet the need of our nation. The department has state-of-art labs and qualified faculties with passion for both teaching and reasearch.
